Transcription

An edit of a scene from the second season of Yo soy Franky, the scene in which Franky reunites her parents in the past so that they can be together again in the future.

In the past, Franky looks at her watch and says “Faltan 15 minutos. Es ahora o nunca.” She walks to take the mic and says to the crowd: “Hola. Yo soy Franky. Por favor, acerquense.“ Francesca asks her: “¿Qué haces?” Franky says to the crowd: “Quiero aprovechar esta oportunidad para darle mi regalo de cumpleaños a Sofía. Esta canción es mi regalo para ti.” The song "Nuestra historia de amor" by Claudia de Colombia starts as the scene continues. Sofía says with excitement "¡Yo amo esa cancíon!" and she starts singing to the song. Franky makes a gesture to Wilson and he turns around to watch Sofía. Then Wilson asks Sofía: “¿Quieres bailar?”

In the present, Sofía laughs a little and answers: “Sí. Sí, sí quiero bailar.” The couple dances as Loli, Iván and Mariano play music with their instruments.

There’s a cut to go back to the past. Paul and Inés run towards Wilson and Sofía. As Inés stops, Paul asks her: “¿Qué pasa? ¡Vamos! ¡Hay que ir por ellos! Qué digo por ella, por la niña.”. Inés stops him and says with a smile: “No, no, no, espera, espera. Oye, como canta de bonito. Y además, mira, mi Fifi esta emocionada.”

A cut to the present. Paul walks closer to the couple, and Margarita grabs him and they hold hands. Paul asks: “¿Ya recordaron?”. Margarita answers: “No lo sé, pero parece que está funcionando.” Paul then says: “Ojalá que sí, para ver si salimos de este problemita.” Margarita nods.

The music continues, as the couple from the past and in the present as well get slowly closer and kiss. Present Wilson then says: “Te amo.” to which Sofía answers while cupping his cheeks: “Y yo a ti, mi cielo.” Wilson then hugs her after saying “¡Feliz cumpleaños, mi amor!”

The rest of the video is solely in the present. Everyone dances and when the song ends everyone applauds.

Thought process

We had to made an edit about our fave scene from our fave episodes!! 🩵🧸

So the story is, we knew way beforehand that this episode would completely change us (litteraly). The minute we saw an episode called "Franky en el pasado" + screens of a young Sofía we were HYPED. Shout out to Paramount+ for calling the second part "part 6" and making us believe there would be 6 episodes haha.

So we watched it (in french), then watched it again in french, and once more in spanish (at a time where we didn't know spanish at all so it was very confusing but we loved it anyway) (hearing sofi a few times was all we needed). Then we watched it again because we had to show it to our bestie. (and many times after that of course) Anyways...

We knew there were Yo soy Franky songs on Spotify because our sis listens to "Corazón Robot" all the time, so we went to search "Nuestra historia de amor" and instead of finding the YSF song we found a song that became part of our top 3 songs of 2024. This "Nuestra historia de amor" is so beautiful and idk it really fitted us (people watching, and fictives).

So we had to make an edit on this song! It took us two tries because our first way of doing it was very messy haha. We really wanted to keep what we call "Le parallèle de Paul" cause that's something we realized after watching the episode and that we loved. You have to understand, we finished the episode, got of course ten thousand people out of this, then talked for hours about it. We might've even fell on the ground because idk too much excitement our something, bref.

So what even is Paul's parallel? Well it's about what he does when Sofía and Wilson are dancing together in the past and present. (Stoping a 100 pages rant on Sofía, Paul and Wilson) In the past, he does everything he can to separate them. He gets Inés to bust them Candace-style and he fails. And in the present, what does he do? He does everything he can to get them back together, while talking to Margarita.

Also, in the past he's only thinking about himself, he tries to prevent Sofía from getting with Wilson even though it makes her so happy :( And in the future, he's doing everything he can to help both of them as said previously, but he's also healing / fixing Andrés, a kid he adopted a few months ago.

Who knows if it was intended or not, I mean give us a Sofía&Paul scene and we'll write you a whole paper on it so we're not unbiased, but we really really love that part!! So it had to be in the vid of course.

On a side note, subtitling everything was very hard. We didn't know any spaanish at all and Subtitle edit wasn't helping this time (great software for subtitling by the way, go get it if you're making videos).

Also fun fact, our sis showed this to someone and they asked a minute in why the lip-synch was weird at times and we were like hehe that's because it's not a clip from the series it's an edit. Fierté bizarre mais fierté quand même. Weird flex but okay.

Transcription

An edit of scenes from the show Yo soy Franky set to the song "Por favor, me siento sola" from Tormenta. In the first scene Wilson and Sofía are at their house. Wilson is sick and shouts: "Amor..." to which Sofía says: "No. No no no..." then grunts. Wilson asks: "¿Qué harías sin mi?". In the second scene Paul and Sabrina are hugging at Paul's, he says: "Nosotros hemos superado cosas peores" and she says: "Paul, Paul, no sé qué haría sin ti..." The first verse begins.

The first part of the verse consists of clips of Sabrina and Wilson, before Wilson knows she's Sofía. In most of the scenes they are sad or crying, and there are scenes where Sabrina tries to get closer to him while he's confused and annoyed. There is a moment with clips of Wilson when they were 20 offering a white teddy bear to Sofía, and right after clips of the moment in season 2 when Sofía sends him a white teddy bear by mail, which Wilson hugs fondly. This part ends with Sabrina covering a sleeping Wilson with a blanket, set to the lyrics "Quien a tu lado dormirá."

The second part of the verse consists of clips of Sofía and Paul. There are clips of them when they were 20 set to the lyrics "Tantos recuerdos tengo hoy". Then there are clips of all the scenes in season 1 where Sofía is angry at him, up to the android competition. This part ends with Sofía and Paul crying at said competition, set to the lyrics: "Estoy cansada de llorar".

The chorus begins. The first part of the chorus focuses on Wilson and Sabrina, after Wilson learns she's her wife. They are hugging and kissing, and the last scene is their reunion after Sofía returns in her body. The second part of the chorus focuses on Sofía and Paul in season 2 after Sofía returns in her body, either hugging or laughing with each other. The last scene is a hug between Sofía, Wilson and Paul at the end of season 2 part one.

The last part is set to a part of the song where it goes "La la la...". It's a scene with Wilson and Paul, at the Andrade's. Paul asks: "¿Cómo va el plan?" Wilson is very excited and answers: "Bien. Estoy preparando el desayuno para las niñas y pronto Sofía va a estar lista. Yo quiero que este cumpleaños de Sofía sea espectacular. Como el de hace veinte años, ¿te acuerdas?" To this Paul looks to the side, remembering. The video ends with a black screen as the songs fades out.

Thought process

Originally we planned on making an edit based on Wilson and Paul's loneliness regarding Sofía, but it changed while making it. This became an edit about Sofía's loneliness and the fact she can't seem to be happy with both of them at the same time, until season 2-B.

We discovered this song not so long before making the edit, same as the first one. It was really a Paul and Wilson kinda song, them thinking about Sofía and all. It was very complicated to know what scenes to put there though, since the daydreams were mostly about :

• Wilson being alone in S2A, thinking about Sofía etc. (we didn't know if the scenes in S2A where he thinks about her would be clear enough)
• Paul being alone in the time period after the university and before season 1. This is headcanon time so it is obviously not on the show

So we found out the Wilson scenes worked, and for Paul we repurposed the compilation we made (we make a lot of random compilations of scenes) about Paul and Sofía arguing in S1, and how Paul feels in the next scene he's in. Cause we noticed that sometimes (it does happen a few times) when she's angry with him, Paul has scene(s) afterwards dealing with that. So yeah we used that and it worked because they relate to what we think about them in S1 i.e. they are not in synch anymore, and Sofía doesn't get at all why he's mean and plots against her when she's hyping him up and gifting him everything she makes even when he's not asking.

But yeah, turns out that when we made the video we realized it became more of an edit about Sofía's loneliness, and honestly it was really perfect too. A different meaning but that's what happens when making art.

I& love how we managed to put the teddy bear Sofía gifts Wilson in S2A versus the teddy bear he gets her in the past. We noticed that cause honestly when aren't we thinking about the episodes in the past and it was fun to put it here. (Pidgeon, Lina)
